Episode 04: Walt Mossberg

Entrepreneur

It was just something to get me through the pandemic; at least thats what I told myself the podcast was for.

Over the years I have considered starting a podcast. I love podcasts, listen to them all the time and thought I should give it a try. But work always seemed to keep me “too busy”.

2020 was going to be different. In January I made the decision to just do it. But even then, even after the first planning meeting with Jenn over brunch I still wasn’t all in. I told myself, if work got too busy, I could always just push it another month; like I always had before.

Then the pandemic hit. And now there was nothing in the way, I was not too busy, I wasn’t busy at all. The need to do something and take back control pushed me to starting the podcast but it’s not what is keeping me going.

In creating the Non Traditional podcast I opened a pandora’s box that I have had inside me but never really explored. I have always at some point wanted to work for myself but that was always down the road, when I had more experience, when I was more established.

But now I have created Non Traditional the bug has bitten. There is no looking back now, I am an entrepreneur.
